A work created by Suzuki Harunobu (1725-1770) as a client’s private calendar. Inside the dried yukata, the letters representing the year and month are hidden. A beautiful townswoman scrambling to bring in the laundry because of a shower. The distinctive feature is that the clouds are repulsive with the force of moving to the right, and are blowing up sharply while forming a semicircle to the left toward the ground. Harunobu’s marvelous technique uses reactionary expressions to beautifully depict the force of the wind.
