To the right of the screen, Shirokiya, a kimono shop, and Tokyoan, a soba shop stand in line. In the middle of the street, a gohei (wooden wands, decorated with two zigzag paper streamers) are placed on an umbrella with a long handle, and a strange group of five people are drawn around the umbrella. They are a group of street performers who used to live in Osaka. After that, onnadayu, a woman who plays the shamisen, follows. To their right are delivery men who come out of soba restaurants and men who buy gourds from stalls. On the left, a merchant’s daughter is walking toward Nihonbashi Bridge with a parasol.
